What to Eat for Breakfast on Your Wedding Day

Believe it or not, breakfast is the most important meal you will eat on your wedding day. With all the excitement of getting ready and taking photos, lunch is often forgotten by brides. And by the time dinner happens, you barely get a chance to take a bite between all the well wishers and toasts.

Starting your day properly fueled can make all the difference in enjoying every moment, and also ensure you don’t become a bridezilla! When making those last minute day-of plans, make sure you delegate the task of picking up a healthy breakfast to a trusted bridesmaid or family member. If you’re picky about what you eat, offer suggestions. And if you’re prone to nerves, have lighter alternatives so you don’t feel queasy!

Bridal Breakfast Don'ts

  • Don’t skip breakfast , even if you’re not hungry. It’s probably nerves and chances are, you will get hungry later at an inopportune time.
  • Don’t try something new on you wedding day. Stick to a breakfast that you’re comfortable with and know sits well with you.
  • Don’t forget to hydrate. While you may not want to be running to the bathroom all day once you’re in your dress, starting the day with good hydration will help prevent headaches, fainting, and can help you have that coveted bridal glow.

Bridal Breakfast Formula

Including these 3 components in your breakfast will set your day up for success by giving you energy and keeping you full.

  • Protein
  • Fiber
  • Healthy Fats

Helpful Tips

  • Take it easy with the coffee and champagne. Both are diuretics meaning they cause increased urine production. If your water intake is low, this could put you at risk of dehydration.
  • Designate a specific time to sit down and eat. While you may be tempted to double and triple check all the decoration while your maids get dolled up, take 15 minutes to sit down and nourish your body!
